Continuity Discussion

Post by Robin on Sun May 08, 2016 11:41 pm

Whelp. Here goes nothing.

Alright. This a discussion about the continuity of this pack, and how we want to integrate new and old characters into it. This will be formatted similar to the Mandatory Discussion, but not quite the same. Mostly because I don't have the formatting prowess Thunder has, but otherwise it will be close.

To recap, most of us agreed upon an alternate-timeline sort of thing. However, we never really deigned how that would all play-out.

Some answered and some did not. For those that did, a solution of a sort of... alternate timeline occurs? A "what-if" scenario, where things are the very similar to our old rp, yet not. Some changes are subtle, while others may have greater impacts. Basically, depending on the characters you choose to play, they may be rewritten if you so desire, in order to fit in with the new universe.

I don't think it is fair to disregard the three years we've spent rping our original characters. The old lote will always be the original timeline. Consider this new rp...hmm...well... if anyone here know how comic books work, its like that. A branched off reality.

That's what we officially agreed upon. There's very little specific about that though. That's what this discussion is for, to distinguish what we want. Please copy the entire template from the box at the bottom and highlight the ones you choose.

Character World Memory | (Applicable only to alternate and/or reset timeline)

Character Others Memory |

> Characters should remember all other wolves, regardless of age
> Characters should remember no other wolves
> Characters should only remember other wolves relative to age
Explanation:
This means if a character is de-aged, that an older wolf doesn't remember them. However, if the two wolves knew each other before and they're both older wolves, that they still remember each other.

Well... I think that about covers it? If anyone thinks of anything else, please feel free to tell me ^.^ Keep in mind though, we aren't really doing anything serious with rp yet. This is simply to start sorting out ideas, and to give people time to think about what we want from our new rp.

Character History |

Character Others Memory |

I'm pretty sure most of this won't 'advance' anything regarding rp. It has already been decided that anything can be changed. Some things can be left alone, while other things can be completely re-written. It all depends on what we want to do with the characters. the next 'step', per say, is asking what everyone wants to do with their characters. Who we use? And how, or if, we will alter them (age, origin, appearance, etc)? A better explanation of this is that the characters are NOT adapting to the new universe. The universe is adapting to us.
